Description

Responsibilities
The Health Informatics team is looking for an ambitious and driven Director that will take our service platform to the next level. The director will devise an effective strategy for executing and delivering on Health Informatics business initiatives. The Director of Health Informatics requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across segments and/or enterprise-wide.
The Director of Health Informatics coordinates with other analytics, IT and business areas across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledge SMEs. The Director, Informatics requires an in-depth understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across the function or segment.
The Director of Health Informatics acts as a liaison and collaborates with the business and functional stakeholders to identify and deliver strategic enablement solutions. Decisions are typically related to intradepartmental coordination, development and implementation of strategic plans, and business/health outcomes, and develops and implements strategic plans for the scope of management that are aligned with the Segment and organizational strategy.
With Health Informatics rapid expansion, service offerings continue to grow substantially in volume, financial impact, and complexity. The Director of Health Informatics will collaborate with leaders from both Humana Inc and Humana Military segments to develop an enterprise service solution to enable our markets, business operations and stakeholders to better serve our consumers, improve cost and evaluate value based arrangements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Elevate Health Informatics work to internal and external partners and stakeholders, finding win-win collaboration opportunities and ensuring operationalization of key growth, quality and efficiency strategies. This includes presenting unique value proposition to external key audiences
Represent Health Informatics value proposition to key decision makers, negotiating cost effective agreements and innovative collaboration with stakeholders to sustain Humana Military and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. competitive advantage.
Direct leadership and supervision of a team that manages operation of Health Informatics products and services. Enhance the systems and processes necessary for optimal solution delivery. Continuing development of team includes continued development and dissemination of systems, processes and best practices for strategy and management. Also includes ensuring professional development of the team.
Establish collaborative forums with stakeholders to advance knowledge and shared objectives, includes establishing agendas, prioritizing, and ensuring execution.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Economics, Business or related field or equivalent experience
Johns Hopkins Adjusted Clinical Group software certification
Demonstrated expertise in population health, data analysis, data mining concepts and identifying health disparities and root cause analysis.
Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing thought leadership in support of Military health plans and/or TRICARE
Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in Military Treatment Facilities, government programs TRICARE
Knowledge of organizational priorities and strategy

Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Epidemiology, Public Health Administration, Public Policy, Healthcare Economics, Business or related field or equivalent experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Skill in the use of computers, statistical software, and technology
Skill in analytical thinking and problem-solving
Skill in interpersonal, written and verbal communication
Knowledge of person-centered planning initiatives and comprehensive care coordination procedures
Knowledge of community based digital platforms that link CBOs and create longitudinal member records of community resource linkages. Experience developing provider level population health reporting
Familiarity with Military families, geography and cultures
Recent knowledge of TRICARE compliance and contractual requirements and standards
Knowledge of the principles and practices of epidemiology, including research methods/techniques including biology and disease processes

Additional Information:
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.
