Description
The Technology Solutions Lead is responsible for managing several aspects of software stability, support and management. The Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial where skill in problem solving, strategy development and execution through others is a must. The leader will support the CarePlus Health Plan IT group (a Humana business) operating in Florida and headquartered in Tampa.

The Technology solutions Lead will engage in a large-scale transformation effort underway for the CarePlus business. The leader will engage with internal and external SMEs to drive design, development and implementation of technology services. Specifically the Leader will help to stand up and manage a team that designs and executes operational processes including Production Support, Release Management and ensuring the organization can support Incident Management processes with enterprise teams. Once the transformation program is complete, the leader will establish and execute the long-term service strategy.
The Technical Operations Lead will be a technically minded leader who enjoys standing up new processes that govern our vendors and teams to align our legacy processes with those for our new tech stack. The candidate will leverage Agile methodologies to develop an active set of initiatives/priorities that are born from the below areas of responsibility while also working to create priorities and focus for their team. Initially the Lead will roll up their sleeves in designing the work prior to onboarding contractors and associates who will perform the day-to-day tactical work.
Determine appropriate processes and lead release managers to ensure environment changes are well communicated, approved and delivered, aligning to enterprise standards to simplify implementation
Define strategy, models and lead others who manage prod support and help desk activities
Improve our incident management documentation and practices in support of the enterprise Incident Management organization and the CarePlus Medicare plan.
Modernize processes by integrating with Enterprise solutions wherever possible to reduce 'undifferentiated heavy lifting'.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, equivalent military experience or other demonstrated Technology experience related to the responsibilities
Experience with (2 or more); Production Support, Release Management, Incident Management and/or SRE
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively and deliver presentations to senior leaders
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
8 or more years of leadership in a technical setting
Advanced experience leading special projects and producing metrics, measurements and trend reports
Advanced Agile and/or Design Thinking certifications and/or experience
MBA or other Advanced Degree
