There is a lot to keep in mind all throughouat a military career. The following includes information that you will need to know during your military career.
Line 1: Give the exact location of the pick-up site and GPS fix. Try to provide route names or landmarks.
Line 2: Give the command center your call sign, radio frequency, and suffix.
Line 3: Relay the number of people that are in need of treatment, along with any special equipment that might be necessary. The precedence is as follows: A - Urgent; B - Urgent Surgical; C - Priority; D - Routine; E - Convenience. Medics can prepare any special equipment that is needed in the interim: A - None; B - Hoist; C - Extraction equipment; D - Ventilator for the military.
Line 5: Give them the list of people that need to be flown out. First, the list of people that need to be carried (Litter), then the list of people that can walk without assistance (ambulatory). Remember that you are in an emergency situation, so supply only necessary information.
Line 7: Advise how you will be marking the site: A - Panels; B - Pyrotechnic signal; C - Smoke signal; D - None; E - Other. If you use colored smoke, do not state the color. Allow the military job pilot to make his observation before you make the confirmation.
Line 8: Now you will list the patient's status and nationality: A - US Military; B - US Civilian; C - Non-US Military; D - Non-US Civilian; E - Enemy Prisoner of War (EPW). Line 9: Give any NBC contamination at the site: N - Nuclear; B - Biological; C - Chemical.
