An Active Duty Military Dependent is basically a spouse or child of a member of the military. Many military benefits are offered to the military dependents. If you're considering a military career, you should strongly consider the various military employment benefits that are being offered for you and your family. The following are military career benefits to consider.

Military Spousal Benefits
The spouse of the military member will receive an I.D. card. This I.D. card allows the dependent passage to military facilities and to receive the same services that the military member receives, such as medical care, community services, and housing.

Children of the Military Member
The children of the military member receive the same benefits and privileges as the spouses. They can also attend United States schools overseas.

Family Housing
Active Duty Soldiers (grades E-4 and beyond) are provided with housing on the military base. Military members with ranks lower than E-4 receive BAH, which is a monetary allowance, every month, that covers rent and utilities for their housing out in the community, off the military base. Some military members E-4 and above might prefer to live in the community as well, and in this case they would also be provided with monthly monetary allowance to cover rent and utilities.

Military Medical Care
Medical care is also provided to the dependent. Medical cares at military facilities and military hospitals are free, or have a very modest co-payment.

Military Community Activities for Dependents
Dependents are also provided with community activities, to offer them opportunities to socialize with others and participate in community service.

Employment for Dependents
When the spouse of a military member transfers abroad, they are provided with the choice of jobs in the community. Transferring often can be difficult, especially if you're trying to follow your own military career path. For this reason, this military employment benefit for spouses can be very helpful.

What I liked about the service is that it had such a comprehensive collection of jobs! I was using a number of sites previously and this took up so much time, but in joining EmploymentCrossing, I was able to stop going from site to site and was able to find everything I needed on EmploymentCrossing.
